To date, the biggest project I have ever worked on and another epic with the illustrious Cedric Yu directing and DOPs, Graham and Nelson Talbot. We spent 10 months in pre-production until principal photography on March 14th with additional second unit stuff three weeks before. My most challenging project yet as a producer and as the 1st Assistant Director! But with all the great support we had from SFU and our fantastic cast/crew (especially my amazing AD team), we survived the “end of the world”. Special love to all the rental houses for the support. I had walkies!!!! =D Now, to oversee post!

Reunion with the Not A Haunting Cast/Crew!! Except this time, Emma had me act. (Oh no.) Was taught a bit of a stunt move by Kirk Jacques and then tied up with Isaac Keoughan. Haha, but I would not recommend ADing and acting and performing a stunt at the same time.

Not A Haunting was so much fun times. ADed for the ever-busy producer/director Emma Peterson. Super great cast/crew.

Trailer for my third year first semester film at SFU, Of Masks and Men, starring Dwayne Bryshun (whom I was so lucky to work with on Afternoon at Gudrun too!) and Kasey Mazak. In post-production!

1st ADed “Mr. Forgettable”, a short from Point Blank Creative directed by Andrew DeVilliers. First time I had ever rented walkies. Our first two nights were exteriors with rain towers. It would stop raining when the rain towers were up and then start again once we were wrapped the towers. We were cold, miserable and drenched. But we had a great cast and crew. Our background were amazing. Fun times.

Javier Badillo was the first person who taught me how to close a C-stand when I first met him on Amazon Falls. Being able to 1st AD his romantic comedy short, Afternoon at Gudrun, was an absolute thrill. It was the first time I’d ever been up close to a 35mm camera. I hope it’s not my last!

Rain Towers. Fog. Fire! A werewolf type transformation! Here’s Hayley and I warming up some Hessies. Had some of the best times learning Special Effects from one of the best SPFX Co-ords, Ian Korvor, on Divine: The Series. Convert the world!

After what seems like months of development and pre-production, we are wrapped on principal photography on our second year film project “35″. Telecine starts tomorrow!
